On Saturday, October the 27th, The Veteran selection for "Expedition-Trophy 2008" took place on the bank of the Oka river.

On Saturday, October the 27th, The Veteran selection for "Expedition-Trophy 2008" took place on the bank of the Oka river.

Notwithstanding the cold weather and thick fog the Selection gathered members of such crews and teams as "Krasnodar", "Podorozhnik", "Strange people", "FTL", "Astra" and "Pride", "Night wolves", "Vimpel", "Yorkshire Terriers", "Gosteleradio", "5+1", "International Airport Vnukovo", etc.

After the trials of the long day in the romantic light of headlamps there were born the one and only Veteran team, consisting of:

• Valery Sterligov ("Vimpel", Race 2006);
  
• Maxim Kupreenko ("5+1", Race 2005);
  
• Evgeniya Gerasimova ("Night and Sea Wolves", Race 2005/2006);
  
• Kirill Morozov ("Pride", Race 2006);
  
• Fyodor Kruglov ("Yorkshire Terriers", Race 2006).
