The following document is meant for the Participants of the Preface for "Expedition-Trophy 2008".

Before the start of the Preface all the participants must pass the procedure of Technical Commission, it's schedule will be published at the ET 2008 web-site on the 16th of February 2008, shortly after the admission of applications for the participation in the Preface is over.

To pass the mentioned procedure the participants of the Preface should present the vehicle and one of the team members, as well as the photographs and passport data of all the other crew members. The amount and character of crew membership for the Preface is not regulated.

The Start of the Preface will take place at dawn on the 23rd of February by the beacon in Murmansk. It's route will go to the South through the Kola Peninsula and further along the White See until the city of Arkhangelsk, where it's Finish will be set.

At this stage the participants will experience everything that the teams of the previous "Expedition-Trophies" had to go through. The Preface includes searching for Cultural Navigation points, chasing a train, and the racers' favorite off-road tasks, miles and miles of asphalt and stony roads, snowy paths and extreme off-road.

Just as before, you don't have to be the first, moreover, even those to come last still have a chance to win the Preface, as the winner will be defined during a Challenging Point in Arkhangelsk.
