Selections for "Expedition-Trophy 2008" ended on November 17th, 2007.

Being a unique off-road competition, "Expedition-Trophy" gains popularity every year. More and more people both from Russia and abroad wish to take part in the legendary Race. Meanwhile, Trophy veterans of the previous years are willing to participate again. Selection rounds, or simply Selections, are held several times a year before the start of the Race in order to offer new people the chance to get into the largest off-road event in the world. They also help equal the chances and maintain objectivity.

The Selections not so much help to estimate the physical condition of the applicants. Their goal is to reveal the personal qualities and the strength of will of those participating in the Race and to help them make a good presentation of themselves to the others. Any stranger near by can become a member of your future team. That is why the main thing is to disclose your potential and ability to successfully communicate, to become part of a team, make friends with new people having discovered most valuable traits in them.

Due to stiff time frames and a serious competitive program there always is a burst of adrenaline and concentrated emotions. All these create an exceptional atmosphere which attracts you over and over again. That is why those who found themselves and each other during the Selections, no matter whether they won or not, seek to come again and meet each other in their everyday life. The mission of the Selections is even more important and wide than simple admission to the "Expedition-Trophy". They form a community of active people who are not indifferent to such values as sincerity and freedom. All of them are united not only by their hunger for adventures, nature, love to their country, but also by the desire to live their live to the full. In other words, we happily and rightfully call the participants of the Selections "friends of Expedition"!
